Funny Pictures

I think these are some of the funniest pictures of Caleb. The first ones are funny because of his hair. He has such the mullet! I can't bear the thought of cutting it, although the haircut won't be too far away if his father has anything to say about it. The second ones are funny because they remind me of some superhero- or a bug- and also E.T.- all rolled into one. Caleb's cousin loaned him the outfit as he outgrew it and Caleb just had a ball in it. When I put the hood on him he assumed the character of some new creature. It was hilarious.
This is your hair...
This is your hair on who knows what.
Paci-man to the rescue!
Is that E.T. - did he lose his phone?

Busy Weekend

Happy Easter! We had a busy weekend with family in town and a visit to friends. I met our new friend Aubrey Catherine Gunnels who is the precious 1-month old in the pictures below! She is so beautiful and tiny. Her parents are friends of ours from Memphis. We also spent some time with Grandmama, Uncle Josh, Aunt Karina, Radnor, Clark and Ethan on Sunday and Monday. We had a great Easter lunch with them and then we saw Uncle Russ Sunday evening. I think Caleb was trying to impress his uncle with his craziness Sunday night, or it might have just been his overtiredness from taking only a 45 minute nap for the whole day! Clark and Ethan are leaving tomorrow and we are sad to see them go but I think they are happy to be returning to their world of no one year olds! They were quite concerned that Radnor and Caleb might tear up their toys!

Just Give Pea(s)ce a Chance

Caleb was eating lunch today in his sleeper because he had just gotten up from his morning nap and was pretty hungry. Since the sleeper's a tad bit on the warm side I unzipped the top of it so he wouldn't burn up during the meal. While I was feeding him I noticed a couple of peas and carrots went MIA. After he was finished eating I unzipped his sleeper down to his diaper to search for the missing peas and carrots. One of the peas found the perfect place to hide out in his belly button, but we were able to perform a full rescue and recovery. ( I promise you the pea was really in his belly button- we didn't put it there!) By the way, Caleb's facial expression in the first picture is definitely saying "I've got a pea in my belly button!

Let's Climb, Let's Climb, Let's Climb, Let's Climb, Let's Climb!

Caleb has all of a sudden turned into a climber. It all started at Grandmama's house when we suddenly noticed him standing in one of the kitchen chairs with a big smile on his face. This then advanced to pushing the chair to the refrigerator and then climbing onto it and reaching for magnets. He is now able to climb on most of the chairs at our house and has even advanced himself enough that he is able to climb from the dining chair to the dining table! He has quickly learned how he can amuse and entertain himself with his newfound skills, while at the same time alarming his parents at how easily he might get hurt and how so many things are now no longer safe, including wall hangings.
Bonus blogger points to anyone who can identify the movie the title of this post was taken from!;)

Grandma and Aunt Pat's visit

Jeremy's mother and his aunt came to visit this week. Caleb loved seeing some new faces! Grandma is still with us and Caleb is busy keeping her company every chance he gets.

Flushing

Caleb's new favorite thing to do during his bath is reach over the tub and flush the toilet over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and again and again and again. Luckily, only 1 of every 10 attempts results in an actual flush so we aren't wasting tons of water, yet.

Stuck in a Basket

The other day Caleb was playing with the laundry basket in the living room while I was working somewhere else in the house. (Side note, I don't know why this entertains him so, but he loves to scoot the basket around the floor and put things in it). Anyway, at some point I heard him start whining and when I went to check on him this is what I saw. He had been sitting inside the basket but obviously tried to get out. Somehow he managed to step over the side with one foot but had his other foot stuck in the basket. He couldn't go any further in either direction because his legs perfectly straddled it. He hadn't started crying yet so I got the camera to take a picture. Funny the things they do.
